Lucky, we had the chance and privilege of seeing our Holy Father from very close.  Too bad, so sad!!!  Anh could not take the right picture of our Pope.

ANH'S SHARING:

  • The 17th WYD was my first time to attend.  It was so awesome!  I was overwhelmed by the flows of the young from all over the world gathering in Toronto at the Exhibition Place as well as at the Downview Park for the Vigil Night.

  • I have seen how the youths love our Pope John Paul II and vice versa.  I have seen how they show their Christian identity of faith through sharing, discussions during the session of Catechist and at the Eucharistic Celebrations and at the Vigil Night.  Truly we, the young ones, desire so much to become like Jesus, to become the light and the salt of the earth and the world.

  • At the WYD, we were rejoicing out loud with prayers and songs under the special presence of the Holy Father, Cardinals, Bishops, priests and with many religious__ men and women.  There, we felt like we were receiving a great outpouring of graces and blessings of our Lord through our Pope.  We desire so much to become really tasteful salt and bright light, to be standing together, faithful, living and active members of the Catholic Church.

  • May the Holy Spirit continue to stir up our lives.  May our lives become good taste of testimony.  Like the Bishop shared with us at the Catechist course:  Chocolate with milk need to be stirred in order to taste better.  We want to become tasty chocolate milk!  Also, may our lives is the only Bible that we have ever read.
